Workspot Windows Client Release 4.3.0 January 16, 2023 by Robert PlamondonHighlights Currently in production. End-user survey. Client users are now asked to rate their Workspot Client connection after they exit their Workspot desktop or app. Ratings are 1-5 stars with an optional comment. See Workspot Client User Surveys. Optional autolaunch. Users with only one Workspot desktop or app can launch that immediately upon sign-in, without clicking its icon on the (otherwise empty) Workspot Client dashboard. Workspot Client User Surveys

Workspot Client User Surveys by Robert PlamondonJanuary 4, 2023Workspot Client users are asked to rate their experience at the end of a Workspot desktop/app connection. This behavior was introduced with Workspot Windows Client 4.3.0, with other Clients to follow. The form is a rating from 1-5 stars and an optional comment field.  How it WorksWhen the Client disconnects, the survey is displayed. The survey can be dismissed with the “X” button at the upper right-hand corner or the user can select a rating of 1-5 stars, add an optional comment, and hit the “Submit Feedback” button. To view user feedback, search for the word “Survey” on the “Events” page in Workspot Control.LimitationsThe survey defaults to five stars.  The survey appears not only when the end-user closes the Client connection deliberately, but also on accidental disconnects. The information obtained from these ratings is not currently displayed in Workspot Control, and is available to Workspot only. Workspot Control does

Each server provides Windows-based apps to multiple simultaneous Windows Client users (that is, multi-user, multi-application time sharing). The servers in a Workspot RD Pool have traditionally been kept running 24/7, maximizing availability (and expense).Workspot added the option of using the Hourly Rate Plan instead, allowing idle RD Pool servers to be shut down.
