Customer Advisory: Agents and Enterprise Connectors Connection Issues with Control 18.2 (Resolved) April 20, 2024 Problem Statement Workspot Control was updated to Control18.2 on April 20, 2024. Following the update, Workspot observed that some Workspot Agents and Workspot Enterprise Connectors are failing to connect to Control via the new https://control.us.workspot.com URL. This is presumably caused by firewalls blocking *.us.workspot.com.If this is happening to you, you will see the following symptoms:Enterprise Connectors will show as “Offline” in Workspot Control. Non-persistent desktops and app servers will show as “Error” and cannot be assigned to new users (ongoing sessions are unaffected). Persistent desktops will show as “Error” but their users can still connect to them. Any Clients affected by policy changes you applied after the update received distorted icons and wallpaper.Mitigation Steps Already Taken Workspot has already corrected the following:Enterprise Connectors h

If your organization prefers SAML, consider enabling it.Limitations This is a selective feature: contact Workspot to enable it. SAML sign-in is currently supported only on Control. For example, Watch and Trends do not support SAML. Control does not support SAML and Entra ID (Azure AD) sign-ins at the same time. You must choose one or the other.Configuring SAMLThis article assumes you are familiar with SAML configuratoin in general.To configure SAML Control sign-in:Go to “Setup > SAML” in Control. If you don’t see a “Setup > SAML” tab, SAML is not enabled for your deployment. Contact Workspot. Enter the Sign-On Service URL, Entity ID, and Sign-Out Service URL from your SAML provider. If your SAML provider is configured to support Assertion Encryption, set to “Yes.” Otherwise, set to “No.” Upload your SAML provider’s public X.509 certificat

Azure AD SAML Configuration Recommendation When your Workspot environment is configured using Azure AD as SAML Provider there is a possibility that an error page from Azure will be visible on Logout. Workspot Announcement: Upcoming Mandatory Azure NVIDIA GPU Driver Upgrade April 15, 2024 Who is Affected Workspot customers using NVIDIA NVadsA10-v5 GPUs on the Microsoft Azure Cloud. What is Changing Affects Azure GPU VMs and templates only.Microsoft Azure is upgrading their NVIDIA drivers on NVadsA10-v5 Series virtual machines to vGPU driver 17.x starting after May 31st, 2024. This means that Azure will use the 17.x version of the NVIDIA Virtual GPU Manager. Your Workspot desktop and template VMs must use a compatible NVIDIA Windows or Linux driver. Azure VMs using drivers older than vGPU 16.x are no longer supported by Azure. Unsupported VMs may stop working.Action RequiredCheck your current driver versions on your Azure a10-equipped Workspot Desktops and their templates. Known IssuesAn external mouse will sometimes leave a faint trail on the display. With Web Applications, the Client ignores any URLs the administrator has added to Control's URL blacklist, allowing access to these sites. When using an external Magic Keyboard, left-clicking the trackpad mouse can crash the Client when using a Web application. This does not occur with Workspot desktops or RD Pool applications. In iOS 16, the on-screen keyboard may obscure parts of the Workspot desktop sign-in fields on the first launch of a non-persistent desktop. At a high-level following step involved to build a new Template. Internet Firewalls Domain/URL Use by Product Backward Compatibility Related Documents What is Changing Starting with Control 18.2 on April 20, 2024, the sign-in process for Workspot Control will change:The Company Identifier must be provided to sign in to Workspot Control, just as it is for Clients (see Now Required: Company Identifier Field for Clients). https://control.workspot.com is no longer the preferred sign-in URL. The preferred sign-in URL is now https://control.workspot.com/companyIdentifier https://control.workspot.com will continue to work, but you must enter your Company Identifier manually. If Control sign-in via Entra ID (Azure AD) or SAML sign-in are enabled, one of these becomes the default sign-in method at the URLs above.
